Prepositions of Time

Oh, these are so tricky to get right, aren't they?

Or are they?

Here's a simplification of the rules:

In = inside a period of time

On = specific days and dates

At = specific time

Watch these videos (more than once).

What did you notice about the sentences? What time words and expressions go with in?

What project do think he was working on?

Was it successful?

Why, why not?

Write your own personal sentences with examples of in, on and at.

Think of something you're currently working on at work or even something you're planning with your family - when did or will everything happen? Make notes about the days (and when in the day), dates, times - did you have any breakfast meetings or "power" lunches?   Has your wife put together a schedule of events for the children?

Which prepositions go with which? Write these up in your own blog, photo journal or notebook at home.

And by the way, what are the exceptions?  Comment below, if you know!

Here's a link to practice these online...
